With the region moving into the different levels of the new Provincial Framework we would like to reiterate our commitment to safety as our number one priority. We continue to monitor for new directions and guidelines and are open to provide your family dental care during this time.
Our pre-screening, virtual waiting room, and floor-to-ceiling enclosed rooms are employed to minimize contact with others as you attend your appointments
We have installed state-of-the-art air filtration units to clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air which, along with HVAC control changes and fallow times between appointments, creates the most optimal air we can provide.
In addition to our standard hospital-grade infection control and disinfection procedures, we have implemented extra measures of precaution in our clinic which can be found below. These measures, along with our increased PPE, meet or exceed our colleges’ guidelines for safe patient care.
Our hygiene department will be avoiding aerosols at this time in order to reduce transmission risk (no water cleaner or polish) but your thorough cleaning will be provided by hand debridement.
We look forward to seeing you soon and wish you and your families all the best.
NEW SAFETY MEASURES IMPLEMENTED AT KING EAST DENTAL CARE:
-If anyone in your household or anyone with whom you have had close contact is experiencing even mild cold/flu-like symptoms (see Ontario’s self-assessment at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/), please call to reschedule
-Unfortunately, walk-ins can not be accommodated at this point in time. Please call to allow us to help you make an appointment.
-Washrooms will be for emergency only (please make preparations prior to leaving for your appointment)
-Please bring your own pen and mask to the appointment
-When you arrive, please contact the office at 519-578-7160 and relax in your car until the clinic is prepared to welcome you directly to your treatment room
-Only persons with appointments and their support persons will be allowed into the office (if a minor, we will call the guardian in the car at the end of the appointment to discuss findings, recommended treatment and payment options)
-Sanitizing footwear tray at entrance to prevent tracking of contaminants into office
-Screening of patients and their support persons prior to and at arrival for appointments
-We require that you and your support person wear a mask or face covering when entering and moving about the practice
-Upon entry, temperature will be taken with contactless thermometer (please avoid hot or cold food or beverages for 30 min prior to your arrival for accuracy)
-We request that everyone employ hand sanitizer provided upon entry to the practice and at various other points as requested
-We request that everyone employ social distancing throughout the office by following our unidirectional flow arrows and floor decals
-There is now a designated exit to avoid congestion and to promote social distancing
-We have implemented barriers at reception, and a higher frequency of disinfection of the entrance, reception area and high-touch surfaces
-Our personal protective equipment has been increased so may seem a little different in appearance (may include N95 respirators, faceshields or goggles and gowns). This should be mentioned to those who may be nervous of this appearance or of change in general. For the time being, we regret that we must remove some of the items that have made us unique in order to ensure everyone’s safety:
