Covid-19 Update
**Quick-Link for self-screening prior to scheduled appointments: https://forms.gle/JfbGjmN94NiNZXJt9**
Throughout the evolution of Covid and the recommendations surrounding its management, we would like to reiterate our commitment to safety as our number one priority. Because both dentistry and dental hygiene services have been deemed essential, we do not anticipate any interruptions to services. We are continually monitoring for new directions and guidelines and remain open to provide your family dental care during this time.
Our pre-screening (https://forms.gle/JfbGjmN94NiNZXJt9) and floor-to-ceiling enclosed rooms are employed to minimize contact with others as you attend your appointments
We have installed state-of-the-art air filtration units in the waiting room and in each of our clinical rooms to clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air which, along with HVAC control changes, creates the most optimal air we can provide.
In addition to our standard hospital-grade infection control and disinfection procedures, we have implemented extra measures of precaution in our clinic which can be found below. These measures, along with our increased PPE, meet or exceed our colleges’ guidelines for safe patient care.
We look forward to seeing you soon and wish you and your families all the best.
NEW SAFETY MEASURES IMPLEMENTED AT KING EAST DENTAL CARE:
-If anyone in your household or anyone with whom you have had close contact is experiencing even mild cold/flu-like symptoms (see Ontario’s self-assessment at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/, please call to discuss whether rescheduling is the best choice
-We require that a self-screening be done for all appointments, not more than 24 hrs prior to its scheduled time: https://forms.gle/JfbGjmN94NiNZXJt9
-Please try to minimize the number of people entering the practice (i.e. patient and their support person etc)
-Screening of patients and their support persons prior to , and at arrival for, appointments
-We request that everyone employ hand sanitizer provided upon entry to the practice and at various other points as requested
-We request that everyone employ social distancing throughout the office by following our unidirectional flow arrows and floor decals
-There is now a designated exit to avoid congestion and to promote social distancing
-We have implemented barriers at reception, and a higher frequency of disinfection of the entrance, reception area and high-touch surfaces
-Our staff continue to employ universal masking throughout the facility
-Our personal protective equipment has been increased so may seem a little different in appearance (may include N95 respirators, faceshields or goggles and gowns). This should be mentioned to those who may be nervous of this appearance or of change in general. For the time being, we regret that we must remove some of the items that have made us unique in order to ensure everyone’s safety:
